I must confess that, when watching the Avengers movies, it was hard for me not to see the faces of prominent Democrats on Thanos. Mind you, I realize that this could well be construed as disrespectful and insulting to Thanos, and for that I apologize. One cannot be too careful; just because I survived the first “Thanos snap,” that is no guarantee I would ever survive a second.
Be that as it may, my title is far from hyperbolic. I know that I will be accused of being hyperbolic, over-the-top, perhaps even a tad hysterical, but I assure you that I am calm, collected, and well reasoned both in my title, and in the underlying premise for this paper.
Democrats really are in the process of destroying the world.
Earlier today the Girl Scouts, that venerable organization full of precious munchkins destroying everyone’s dietary plans with Thin Mints and Carmel Delites, put out a tweet that said, “Congratulations Amy Coney Barrett on becoming the 5th woman appointed to the Supreme Court since its inception in 1789,” ending with an emoji of hands raised up.
The post featured an image of Barrett; her two Supreme Court colleagues, associate justices Elena Kagen and Sonia Sotomayor; former associate justice Sandra Day O’Connor; and the late associate justice and Barrett’s predecessor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
In other words, an organization all about little females put out a sweet, congratulatory tweet about a female who achieved something remarkable. Understandable, right?
Not so much.
The tweet quickly stirred a firestorm of backlash from prominent Democrats including Ayanna Presley. The Girl Scouts quickly capitulated and deleted the tweet. They claimed that it was viewed as political, and that they made a mistake in posting it. This despite the fact that a Girl Scout tweet praising Hillary Clinton has not been deleted.
When the Girl Scouts can no longer celebrate the accomplishment of someone is remarkable as Justice Barrett, they really have been destroyed.
Across the land over the last few months they have also destroyed monuments to Christopher Columbus, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, and even Gandhi, for some reason. They have burned down large portions of one city after another, but not, of course, before they looted all of the stores in those cities. After all, what says “social justice” like a Louis Vuitton handbag or a nice shiny new appliance or a 60 inch flatscreen TV?
They have destroyed the police in city after city. Retirement numbers for our heroic law enforcement officers are at all-time highs, and recruitment classes are at all-time lows. Those who remain on the force are largely too tentative to do their jobs fully, knowing that they do not have the backing of any Democrat leaders in political office.
They have destroyed journalism. Mainstream media outlets are so openly and blatantly partisan in favor of the Democratic Party that not only does everyone know they have no credibility, but the outlets themselves actually do not care. They are more than willing to capitulate and toe the party line. The New York Times ran an Op Ed from Sen. Tom cotton earlier this year. No matter the political party, since there are only 100 senators out of 330 million Americans, when one of those 100 people speaks, it is newsworthy. And yet there was such a backlash in the newsroom that the editors would dare to run a piece from a conservative, that they deleted the piece and apologized for running it, and editorial page editor James Bennett was forced to resign.
Just today The Hill reported that “Journalist Glenn Greenwald has resigned from The Intercept, seven years after co-founding the online publication, citing censorship by his own editors over an article concerning former Vice President Joe Biden.
The 53-year-old shared his resignation letter in a tweet to his more than 1.5 million followers on Thursday afternoon, in which he accused editors of refusing to publish an article he wrote unless he removed “all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression.”
They have destroyed the NFL and NBA by injecting politics at every turn, and viewership for both has taken a breathtaking drop. I myself used to never miss the NFL on Sunday afternoon or Monday night; but it has been two years since I watched a game.
They have destroyed one state economy after another, hundreds of thousands of businesses, with draconian lock downs, and are already posturing to keep everything shut down for another couple of years!
These few examples are just the tip of the iceberg of all that Democrats will eventually destroy if they have their way.
So how, exactly, do we yank the gauntlet from their fat, destructive purple fingers, before they “snap” every good thing out of existence?
The first and most obvious thing we must all do is vote against them at every level and for every office. We need to be so extreme about this that even if your sweet aunt Bertha is running for town dog catcher, you need to vote against her. A vote for any Democrat anywhere is a vote for destruction everywhere.
The second thing we must do is “Goya” them rather than “Girl Scout” them. If you remember, earlier this year the CEO of Goya was invited to the White House. His story is a remarkable one, an immigrant success story that everyone should applaud. He himself was effusive in his praise for the president, and thankful for all that he had done for minority communities. Naturally, Democrats everywhere went apoplectic, and played their standard card, blasting him all over social media and demanding a boycott of his company. No doubt they expected him to do what thousands of others have done, fold, bow before them, kiss the ring, do penance, and promise to behave as a good little subject from then on out. Instead, he did just the opposite, doubling down on his comments and refusing to back down so much as an inch. The result was that Goya products were completely bought out of stores over and over and over again by people thankful for a man willing to stand up against the left-wing hate mob/cancel culture.
Until people learn not to back down to Democrat bullies, the bullying will continue unabated.
The third thing we must do is learn to vote with our wallets. By that I mean several things. We must get into the habit of contributing to the campaigns of solid, America-loving conservatives. It is one thing to vote; quite another to realize that money really is the mother’s milk of politics, and to “send milk” to the ones we want to see grow and prosper. It also means that we need to identify conservative companies large and small and intentionally do business with them instead of left-leaning businesses.
The fourth thing we must do is be much more active in raising a generation that understands the dangers of leftism. Children need to be pulled out of any public schools that are indoctrinating them with this wickedness, and placed in schools that will not do so. Parents must take the time to educate themselves on history and on current events and become more of an authority on it in the minds of their children than any of the voices in society that are trying to seduce them to “the dark side.”
The fifth thing we must do is encourage our own to go into “make a difference” careers. Conservatives are, by nature, down-to-earth, hard working people. They just want to get a job or have a career, get married, have kids, raise a family. But while they are thinking that way the left is thinking and teaching “go into teaching, go into social work, go into journalism, go into acting, go into politics, go into law, go do something where you can reshape the society in which we live.” If we do not start sending people into those fields, those “celebrity pulpits” are eventually going to convert the world to their destructive way of thinking.
There will be no Iron Man to yank the gauntlet from Thanobidens hand, or Thanopelosi, or ThanAOC, or Thanoschiff. It will be up to all of us to do that before it is to late.
